Love Fast Food? Here Are Some Healthier Ways To Prepare It

Last Modified: December 10, 2022 by Shiny Aura

Almost everyone enjoys having a fast-food treat now and then. However, it might be difficult to get a healthy, well-balanced lunch in a fast-food restaurant.

Yet, there are ways to locate healthier alternatives amid these not-so-healthy meals. It just takes more attention and your willingness to make your fast-food passion into something beneficial for your health.

Let’s check it out.

DIY

Making your favorite foods at home is a great way to save money. Try cooking your favorite fast food dishes at home if you find yourself desiring fast food regularly or particularly appreciate specific fast-food meals.

According to studies, if you make the majority of your meals at home, you ingest fewer calories altogether. This is because you have control over the components you use and the number of particular meals you consume.

Consider your favorite fast food dishes and see if you can make them at home with fewer fat and calories. Consider seeking recipes for healthier alternatives of these items on the internet or in cookbooks.

Healthy Hot Dog

The hot dog is among the favorite fast-food options for almost everyone. Luckily, you can make it a healthy treat and enjoy it as never before.

Whether or not you have asked yourself the question ‘is a hot dog a sandwich?’, these tips will blow your mind and make it a lovely meal. Add plenty of fresh vegetable toppings to make your hot dogs a healthy lunch.

For extra crunch and flavor, toss in chopped tomatoes, sliced lettuce, cubed avocado, and chopped onions. You may also use diced jalapeño or banana peppers to add additional flavor.

Toss your veggie toppings with fresh herbs and spices like cumin, cilantro, or scallions. Although ketchup and mustard are traditional hot dog toppings, they are typically high in salt.

To add a lot of flavors, use fresh, low-sodium seasonings like salsa. Although all-beef hot dogs are traditional and a classic in hot dog culture, turkey or chicken hot dogs are excellent alternatives you should try out.

Fish And Chips

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Toss sweet potato with oil in a medium mixing basin to coat. Put it in a basket. On top of the sweet potato, place a separating grill.

On a small dish, combine the breadcrumbs and cheese. Put salt and pepper as you like. On a separate shallow dish, whisk the egg.

Dip the fish in the egg and then into the breadcrumbs. Apply a little coat of oil on the dividing grill and set it there. Place the basket in the air fryer.

Cook for 12 minutes, or until the fries are golden and crisp and the salmon flakes easily with a fork. In a medium mixing basin, combine the yogurt, red onions, eschalot, chives, and parsley.

Serve the fish with sweet potato fries and tartar sauce prepared from scratch. Enjoy with your loved ones!

Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Heat a big saucepan. One tablespoon of butter is melted, then the chopped onion and minced garlic are added. Season with salt and pepper.

Place it in the oven for three minutes. Melt the remaining butter in the pan. Mix in the flour until it is thoroughly blended with the onions. Pour the soup in while stirring constantly.

Combine the broccoli florets and sliced carrots in a mixing bowl. Cook for 12 minutes on low, stirring regularly, in a covered oven. Half of the soup should be blended. Blend until it becomes completely creamy.

Return the blended soup to the oven, along with the chopped cheddar cheese. Serve after the cheese has melted.

Big Mac

Make 8 even balls out of the meat. Compress the meatballs with your hands or a spatula into thin hamburgers. Over medium-high heat, preheat a big saucepan.

Season the meatballs with salt and black pepper on both sides. You can also add 4 of the meatballs to the pan when it is extremely hot. Cook for approximately 1 minute, or until a brown crust forms.

Add two cucumbers and a handful of chopped onion on top of each cheeseburger. Remove to a chopping board and pile the raw burgers on top of the cheeseburgers.

Carry on with the remaining 4 patties in the same manner. Pour a large quantity of special sauce on the bottoms of the buns and top with lettuce and tomato. Place the burgers on bread and enjoy the meal.

Vegan Burger

To make a fine sauce, blitz the shallot, celery, coriander, and the majority of the garbanzo in a food processor.

The remaining garbanzo should be mashed and mixed in with the curry powder, tomato sauce, flour, and cornmeal in the mixture. Make four patties out of the mixture.

Allow for at least 30 minutes of resting time – you may keep them in the fridge overnight if desired. In a nonstick pan, heat a little oil and cook the patties until they’re brown and crisp on both sides.

When they’re warm, they’ll be rather tender, so don’t handle them too much. Slide into buns or pitas with whichever toppings you choose.

These pretty easy recipes will make your dream come true and help you turn your fast-food love into something healthy and beneficial.

So don’t hesitate to try it out and prepare a lovely meal for you and your family and friends.
